Geiger Counter

Around the year 1910 A German physicist Hans Geiger worked with Walther Müller to create the geiger counter. A device which measure the amount of particles of alpha radiation are in an area.

Geiger later worked with Rutherfors which led to Rutherfords atomic model.  Geiger helped come up with the  Gewiger-Nuttal Law which help describe the decay of radioactive elements.  The more particles a matierial has released the shorter the half-life.
